The Russian watches get a bad rap. A watch maker told me once that they are "very rough," but they are very affordable for that reason, and a way for a cheap collecter like me to get a complicated watch. Note the heleocopter on the dial...

Hi Jerry,

sorry that I kept you waiting for the answer...had to check my wrist again... Wink

No, just kidding... Big Grin

This german brand "Sinn" (Sinn Spezialuhren, Frankfurt a. Main)is quite well known over here for producing some very special watches for military, police special units and divers, like their aircraft clocks (Navigationsborduhr "NaBo"), or the "Einsatzzeitmesser"-series for police special units, etc.

My Flieger 356 is from the 80s, I think. I like it very much, the contrast between the black dial and the white hands makes it very easy to read. It has got an Valjoux 7750 automatic movement, with 25 jewels, which is very reliable and a good time keeper.

You can find more information about this watch
here.

Have a nice day!

Regards
Gerd

Wore this one today, it is a 0s Waltham & the movement was made about 1915, from what I have read I guess these were recased at some later date in lug cases. It has a great dial but needs a Marty job on the hands.

I like the face & numbers ion this, makes it easy to read for me.
