Tom, look at the state the case was in originally, no wonder everyone thought it to be a bad buy, but Michael, the woodwork magician, has done it again, making a silk purse out of a sow´s ear. Thank you Werner for the nice comment. I would help anyone any way I could if they have the piece they deem un-usable or in a condition so bad they wish restoration. It is actualy very simple when you have the right materials and some time. Regards. M.
Well have a look at this then, the chronometer was boxed OK, but the seller forgot to put packing into the chrono case, just in case the bowl came off the gimball...which happened and smashed the wooden case during transport.
