I would say no to restoration unless it has some personal value to you. You can buy a similar movement for $25-50. Deacon

Perry the contract dial for an early Texas (Winnsboro?) Jeweler is a +++++ "extra" for that period model 1883 Hunter cased Waltham. At best your movment part have some value for but lack enough material to be worth restoring. eBay should have a Model 1883 Hunter Case watch for no more than $100.00 in good enough shape to restore and show off that neat dial.

Perry, That dial deserves to "show" on a good working movement. It has real meaning and added value as a "collectible". With that in mind, as the pallet fork and escape wheel seem to be there, please check the serial numbers on the balance wheel, plates and bridges, If they match the main serial number, it is worth a try to restore. With a serial number match, if you want, send me those parts, I have many 1883 parts and can see what can be done with it. As for the G M Wheeler, that started out life as an open face 15-17 Jewel Adjusted movement. The restoration value must be based on how many original parts are there. I would begin with the balance wheel, pallet fork and escape wheel as they are the matched up parts for it.
