Elgin BWR grade 571 dial material types?

I haven't/don't collect many of the later Elgins past the early 4XX grades but I picked up an Elgin 571 8adj style and it has what appears to be a melamine dial, definitely not porcelain. Is this a replacement dial or did Elgin move to melamine dials at some time with the grade 5XX's?

Hi Claude,

A picture would help, but yes there were evolutionary changes in the 571 as time went by. The earliest 1946-era examples will have porcelain-enamel dials but by the 1950s they had gone to a melamine-like composition. Having your movement number would help narrow that down further.

Here is the data from the watch,
S952156 S951001 12000 BWR 1951 571*, The dial almost seems to be a mix of porcelain and melamine. It appears to be a genuine dial, I will post some pictures a bit later. The movement is marked 8 adjustments and is not the later 9 adjustment version.
