Stem fails to engage. "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I have a AWC & Co "Empress" 16s stem wind and set pocket watch case to which I am fitting a Waltham 15 jewel 16s movement ( 22,688,049).
The movement fits like a glove and is held in place in the usual way by two screws.
The mechanism on the watch to wind and set the hands works perfectly and when I pull the crown up it turns the hands like it should BUT when I push the crown back down it fails to engage the winding mechanism.
It seems that it is only just failing to engage and I was wondering if there is any adjustment available to effectively lower the square peg a tiny bit?...
Thanks Steve.
