Manhattan Serial Numbers?

Can we compile serial number data on Mahnattans and New York Chrongraph watches & movements? I will be glad to put it all together (maybe a little slowly). The main items seem to be:

Movement serial number
Case material - nickel/gold fill/decoration/etc.
Case Style - Open/hunter
Sweep hand - yes/no (if minute post is hollow, there is supposed to be a sweep hand)
Stop mechanism - yes/no (there will be two small buttons instead of one)
Barrel bridge - yes/no
Winding click - pivoted & spring, or one piece
Dial - paper/porcelain
Chronograph - yes/no (angled button at 11:00, & watch continues running when timer stopped)
3/4 plate 16 size - yes/no

Would love to get data and an understanding of Manhattan production.

Hi Mike,
I've had two but I kept no ser.# record. There was one at the flea last Friday though. If it's still there this Friday I'll grab the description and number.

Mike,

I have two as follows:

No 1. SN 151113, white metal case with no markings except the number 59, the case is hinged front and back and no dust cover, it has a plain
finish with a rather nice engraving on the back of two horse heads as if they were racing. It has a sweep second hand, porcelain dial with arabic numerals and marked "Manhattan Watch Co"
I believe it is a chronograph as the button at 11
operates radially. Has a barrel bridge (as shown in Townsend). Open face.

No 2. Just a wreck with the back plate and most of the mechanism missing hence no serial number.
Sweep second, open face with a stop mechainsm that operates parallel to the stem and which stops the balance. Porcelain dial with roman numerals and marked "M W Co". The case is gold filled, open face, screw back and bezel. The engraving is a common floral pattern and inside the back cover it is engraved "Fahys Montauk No 1" and separately "M W Co".

I hope this (poorly organized) information is of some use to you. Happy to answer more questions.
