According to the "Gold Book", Waltham made three "Excelsior" movements, and 2 of them were 18s (the other was 14s). There is a considerable disparity between Shugarts price guide ($100 - $150.00 Confused) and the 1980's Ehrhardt/Meggers valuation of the 1857 model watch. I would (given the circumstances) go with the Gold book and estimate from their valuation of $250.00 in the 1980's, to least a 2*-3* rare model now collectible at US$500.00 - US$1500.00 depending on case and condition. On the other hand if it is an 1877 model, it would be much less.
