As Lindell has researched and shared with us here, there were only 700 of the 2B prefix 999B Hamilton Balls produced. I was lucky enough to have found this beauty and thought you all might like to see it. It is from the first run/first year of the 999Bs. I also have a 999B from the last run made, the straight line movements which also had only 700 produced...so, one from the first AND one from the last run..

Thanks all...I was just fortunate to find the watch for sale before others did...when it becomes my time to pass it along to another lucky collector, I will perpetuate the joy!

Very nice Tim! My current collection consists mostly of scarce to rare Illinois and Hamilton 16S variants, like that Ball and a 2B prefix 950B, bright-spotted and fishscale Bunn specials, rare Bunn 19J, model 9 Sangamo specials, etc.....happiness is when I find a rare variant in great condition at an affordable price!
