Thanks Ronny, a nice little collection of them, had none of those, so have all been added.

Could you let me know if you have had that dial of that Model 6 Exposed Escapement Rockford to check the jewel count at all, thank you?

You could always send him an email Bila. I don't know if he works on them or not but he does know it is an 11j movement. All he can say is he doesn't know what is under the hood.

Thanks Harry, didn't have that number, I am surprised that he hadn't pulled the dial off that as he normally does and sells them separately.

On another note that Seller got back to me about the previous one we were discussing. He hasn't lifted the dial for photos and it is not going to happen, (can not say that I blame him, but no harm in asking).

Bila the only thing I can guess on pulling the dial is that I bet he did and it was missing some feet so he put it back on with whatever feet it had.

The other one I can't say I blame him but it was worth a try just in case he had.

Thanks once again Gary, your finds have been greatSmile

The production of Ladies watches by Rockford has always interested me as it looked like the factory produced absolutely nothing else from serial #200,xxx through to #219,xxx except for the Ladies 8 & 6 size watches (did they have a mass of other sizes produced in stock but not sold) Confused

First was the 8 size then came the 6 size, the 6 size watches supposedly run right up to 219,xxx but I have never ever seen one higher then 215,xxx. So we have a massive gap in the production figures at present between 215,xxx up to that 219,xxxFrown

Around the time of this gap also the Rockford Company had a loss of some staff to the Aurora Watch Company, including a dispute with their Production Superintendent. They also had a reduction in their working hours per day during the production runs of there ladies 6 size.

So I wonder if maybe that also contributed to this gap in production figures. Around the same time they were gearing up for the 16 Size Model 1 raised plate watches and they where released according to periodicals of the day around 1886, but I have not seen any 16 size from that serial block either, so I am still left wondering what happened to productionConfused
