I just finished up a Ebay purchase this weekend. The watch is a 16s convertiable movement number 2041109. The Elgin site dates it to 1886. Eleven jewel grade 93.
The watch needs a ratchet wheel? I am looking for the wheel above the barrel that the click engages to. This one has several teeth missing which makes it a bit tricky when winding.
The watch is running great and keeping time. This will complete the movement and then I need to change one hand. I'll post a pic later tonight when I get home.

Bob, Sorry I can't help with the part, but I also see that some were 14s? Would like to see your pictures. Low production numbers too. Congratulations!

Your watch is a grade 93, model 1, 16 size. You are looking for a Rachet wheel. I am sorry I do not have a catalog number for you, but the model 1 is the important fact.
If someone cannot come up with the number on this board, write me at research@nawcc.org with your membership number and I'll see if we have the number at the library.
Bingo, I got one from a friend. It has all the teeth on it. My gess is that the spring broke at one time and wiped out the teeth. I'll post pics tonight. Thanks to you who replied.

Bob, If you send it to me, I may be able to resize it for you. Check under my name for my e-mail addy and send it over if you can.
I found a lot of catalog numbers for the wheels you may need, if you would like to have it. It's from the Elgin site. The wheels start down the page on page 113. Check it out, may help for future repairs.
Thanks, I really like the new camera. It was a bday gift. Had to buy a new lens to make it do what I wanted. If this works look below at the "before pics"

This makes it even better, I always am looking for Dueber Hampden pw's. With a little work this 121 yr old guy came out pretty good. I did notice that the camera picked up some "fuzz" left over from the case cleaning (q-tip). That was taken care of now. This job is done and put back for others to enjoy. I get the biggest kick out of bringing these back to life.

Sometimes it takes pictures like these to show just how much they change with some tender loving care.
I also forgot to mention that, that is one really nice coin case, and I do like that coined edge. I had not paid much attention to them before, but since I have been looking at them more often, the coined edge seems to pop out at me when I take the time to really look at them. I like it a lot.
Congtatulations on a wonderful repair and such a nice watch.
