Can someone tell me if OF and hunter Getty dials share the same feet positions?

According to the Gold Book they do, feet should be 24.5, 36.5, 55.5 for either.

Thanks, Tom. ![]() | ||||

Jared, I just noticed your post. I live about half way between Albany and Syracuse. I have a Tappins from Troy, NY.
|
Ed- Here is my E. Marks from Troy. (May need a cleaning. I bought this about 4 years ago and I don't think I ever did anything to it)

Nice looking PL there Jared. Keep that one away from the gold [scrappers]. ![]()
|
Ed- I bought this one back when gold was cheap and had paid $430 for it at that time. It is a minty case and looks like it was never really carried at all. It will stay in the safe with the others for years to come. Jared

I thought I would bring this to the top. I'm sure there are a lot of new members that have some great looking getty's that we would like to see.

In case you are interested the jeweler was Erik Larsen Vognild. I found this information on how he invented a grenade harpoon; "Erik Larsen Vognild, born Vognild Oppdal August 28, 1844, was also quick with his idea for the grenade harpoon. He had an idea and constructed his grenade harpoon, but did not have the finances to put it into production. Foyn however, had to finance it, and received the honor of the invention. Vognild traveled at a young age to Ibestad in Troms. There, he constructed the first threshing machine that was driven by horsepower. He later went to America where he won fame as Chicago's best watchmaker. Source: Opdal Team Yearbook 1930"
