Thanks Samie, I just spoke with the folks at Cas-Ker and they have the parts, actually it's more than just the sweep second hand that I need.... I also need the 4th wheel because the original one is broken also and that is why the sweep hand was missing in the first place....

Thanks for the reference....

Regards,
Jerry

Jerry sounds like what you need is the sweep second pinion. I will look and see what i have in my parts drawer. Smile

Hi all.I am in the same boat as Jerry. It appears that all I need is the sweeo second hand since the pinion is in place.
I'll give Cas-ker a try. Thanks for the supply place name Chris.

Here it is....

513-674-7700

They are in Cincinnati, OH

Here's a link to them:

Cas Ker

It is best to call them when you are looking for a specific item....

One other bit of advice, when talking to them tell them you are a watchmaker if they ask you....they only sell to the trade....

Regards,
Jerry

After fiddling around with Cas-Ker and others I finally got smart and sent the Bulova to our own Chris Abell and he correctly repaired the watch and while he was at it he also did a COA, new crystal and now it is like a new one....

I have 10 or 12 automatics but this one is the best of the lot as far as the reserve that builds up from wearing the watch for a day....two days later I pick it up and it's still running....most won't do that, they need to be worn each day to maintain the reserve....

See the photo below....

Christian, I hope you have your watch back in shape by now....

Regards,
Jerry

Hi Jerry.Glad to see that your watch came out so nice. I like it very much. As for me. I am afraid it is still the same, largely because I've put it off. Now though, seeing how yours came out, it may be time for me to finish mine.

Again, thanks for posting the update.
