Hi Tom,

Neat watch and definitely a "FUN" watch put out by Lego! Great thread in clock forum as well.
Enjoyed! Thanks for participating.

Okay yall, another resurrection(thread) from the dead. Smile

I just love colored dials wristwatches, particularly those that show the color wheel, and, move as well.

I've recently added another to my collection.

Take a look!

Even Sheffield got in on the act back then, 60's or 70's.

Great thread Stephanie! "Fun watches" is how I've referred these different, "off-beat" and downright peculiar watches for years. I don't save photos but I did find this Boris and Natasha watch in my photo file. I am looking forward to adding further though (look out!).

p.s.- It'd be nice if Adam Hutira could be coaxed into posting pics from his collection again. Smile

A 1949 Muros burro. This was the same co. that produced the animated Lil Abner watches the following year.

Another from the Muros barnyard, a 1949 pecking chicken (posted once before on the "what watch did you wear today thread).

I have a "Newfex" like that one, and can't find out ANY info on it. I assume it is a "newfie joke" watch. Sheesh... and I thought I was sitting on a gold mine! I found it in my dad's belongings after he passed away (he was 79) and I never laid eyes on it before then. Could you please email me? da_shea04@hotmail.com
Many thanks.

Welcome Deborah,

It is with sadness I report that Jim passed on a few months ago.

Doing an Internet Search for "Newfex Watch" brought me right back here. So we're out of luck unless someone else knows about them. Knowing Jim's sense of humor you are probably right about it being a play on words Newfoundland-Rolex / Newf-ex particularly from the "up-side-down" look of the dial.

Dr. Debbie

Anyone else know about the "NEWFEX" marking?

Its fun to see the fun watches of all kinds. It looks like this thread was started quite awhile ago. I'll try to add a few more to it. I find most of these at garage sales for little or nothing. Makes the sales more interesting when you find a watch. Some are good ones and some are just fun watches.
This is my wifes and its a real keeper for her.

Another one, but I don't know where it came from. USA or somewhere else.

This is another shot of it. It also has a 1999 on the dial in red.

This is another odd one. It also has red lights that light when you push the button. This is still in the box. If anyone has any information on the Coke watch above and this watch, I would be interested in hearing about them.

Thank you for the pictures Bill.

I know how your wife feels, when I was a little girl I so wanted a Barbie watch. Now, as adults we can finally enjoy collecting these treasures!
