Buren Mantle Clock Help "Click" to Login or Register

Hi all,
Can anyone provide some guidance as to how to get the movement out of this Buren Mantle Clock? I have tried without success. In my defense I normally work on pocket watches and am only cleaning and servicing this clock as a favour for a friend.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers
Geoff

HELLO GEOFF, FIRST YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE HANDS THEN REMOVE THE 3 EQUALLY SPACED SCREWS IN BACK ON THE TAPERED PIECE AND PULL THE MOVEMENT OUT. THAT SHOULD DO IT. EDDIE HINES

Hi Eddie,

I finally had time last night to have another go at this clock.

I undid the 3 screws, then 'pushed' (not pull like I was trying to do). The brass tube with the movement, bezel and face attached slid out the front.

Then it was a simple matter of undoing another 3 hidden screws to detach the bezel and movement from the brass tube.

Thanks for your help Eddie!!

Cheers

Geoff
