watch gets stuck at 5:00 "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I have a little lady elgin cleaned and running, but when I go to set it the hands will only move from 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock. They get stuck trying to go either way past that when I try to set it or while it runs. When I put the watch together, I placed the hands on at 3 o'clock.

What should I be looking at to fix this problem?

I have the Fried book, but this specific problem isn't in troubleshooting.

The hands are not hitting each other are they or the hour hand hitting the second hand?

There is no second hand. And no, I've checked. They're not hitting. The hands make two complete passes by each other because it will run for two hours and then get stuck at 5:00.

Check the transmision wheels on the dial side (minute wheel, hour wheel).
