I have a watch that runs for 30 minutes or so then stops? Any idea on the problem? Advice appreciated, thanks.

Is the watch in the dial up, dial down position, or doesn't matter? What maintenance/repair have you done to it lately?

Good questions, Mark. There could be so many reasons. If the watch were recently serviced and it timed properly, I'd suspect a dragging second hand. But.... if the watch was dirty and not serviced, there could be a million reasons, from dirt in the train, to a binding mainspring barrel, to bent pivots, to cracked jewels to.....

Confused

I agree. It is all about patience and details. You might want to make sure the hair spring is level (not cocked).

Turns out the watch stem was looose and was coming out. I had it tightned and works great. Go figure, thanks for the replies.
