Hello Group,
My latest find has me puzzled. It is an Antique 18k gold Swiss chronograph. It is marked on the dial Ferrocurril / Antioguia. The inner dust cover is marked Juan Heiniger / Medellin. What is most unusual about this watch is the dial. It has six hands & two registers. The 12 hour register is what puzzles me. It has a hand to record the hours like most chronos, but this also has a second hand to record the minutes. I have never seen this set up before. Can anyone tell me about this & possibly the maker of the movement? Has anyone seen this set up before? I have owned thousands of watches, but never one like this. Clearly a Swiss made watch and it seems he was a very well known jeweller or watchmaker/retailer in Medellin Columbia

John Reymond,Vallee de Joux, Switzerland, patented in 1915.

It's actually a 3 register chronograph with the standard center seconds register but minute and hour registers arranged together on the small 12 hour dial...at least that's what it looks like to me. The watch is not only unique, but also high quality and very beautifully made.

script on the dial for "Ferrocarril de Antioquia" was the name for the railroad in Medellin, Colombia.
