Not sure exactly what this is. I realize this is an elgin 571 but what about the black dial. Do you think this is an original to the watch? Also, is the watch worth $69? Thanks for any information, Joey

This was an ebay purchase. The watch had a bad balance staff. The balance staff has been replaced and the watch keeps great time. Do you have any ideal what year the watch was manufactured? I am not having any luck with the elgin d-base. The watch appears to be in great shape, have any ideal on its value??? Thanks for all the input, Joey

Thanks for all the input. As far as the case goes, it is stainless with no markings. The inside is labeled elgin. Where most black dials used for our military? Joey

I'll take 10 at $69. each even with Bad staffs. Oh This is the wrong year to order them.
I truly think that watch in working condition would be worth be closer to $150 - $175. but of coarse it would take that special buyer. They did not make to many Black faced B. W. Raymond. Of coarse the would only be correct if the dial is factory made.
