Question to ALL. Were There Elgin Grade 162 Lever Set? Is there any records of Elgin Making a grade 162, 21j open face pocket watch with LEVER SET? And if Elgin did make it, what is the production on that movement? Thank you. Sham Agayev, CMW

Hi Sham, I don't recall ever seeing a Grade 162 in Lever-Set. Should there be one out there, I for one would enjoy seeing a picture. Lindell

Hi Sham, I just did some looking in the Elgin database and the only open face, 21J, lever set, bridge movement that Elgin produced was grade 270. Have you seen a grade 162 that is lever set? If so, do you know the serial number of the movement? -Steve

Actually yes, but no too! Read the Elgin site link below for the information. Seems that it's an unusual situation, and may be a grade 351 Lever set. Seems there's and 11 year gap that's in the same run. Take a look. http://elginwatches.org/cgi-bin/elgin_sn?sn=G%3D162 Sheila

Oh, and the grade 162 is 3 finger bridge, and the 351 is not? and 23j too. Kind of confusing huh? I must just have something to do with the runs of numbers? Sheila
