Jerry,
Your dial appears to be a #436 and I believe it was used on the 992's but I do not have a date for it.

Jerry,

Edward is right, this dial, also known as Heavy Arabic, was used on Gr 992's. The style in your photo with the block letter Hamilton signature started in 1918 and continued thru the end of 992 production in 1930, so it would be correct for your 1927 example.

Ed

The script dials were also used on the 992's. Maybe Ed can fill in the dates for us?

Lawrence,
I am not sure where I got them from. I down load watch info as I find it and this was in my Hamilton file.

Early Hamilton Railroad Watch Dial Signatures: There's a lot of information in this topic:

https://ihc185.infopop.cc/eve/f...=550105022#550105022

Here's what it boils down to . . .

<<All dates approximate!>>

Block letter "HAMILTON" with serifs: 1918 - 1930
Script "Hamilton": 1905 - 1918
Script "Hamilton Watch Co.": 1893 - 1905
