Waltham Model 1908 Grade 620 Serial number: 22688049. Hi folks. I have completely stripped the movement, cleaned and oiled and am in the process of re-assembling but I just cannot work out how the mechanism for winding and setting the hands should look prior to putting the plate on. It's those two bits of metal with a "U" shaped spring. Would there be a picture anywhere?. Thanks, Steve.

Stephen, you have the famous "evaporating spring" mechanics designed by some alien visiting the Waltham factory to drive the next Century's (1899- now!)watch repair people NUTS! I will try and post a Pictorial about this part set and this assembly tomorrow. (all my stuff is at the shop.)

That would be brilliant Dave. I have spent about 5 hours so far trying to work the mechanism out to no avail. There is a long thin metal strip with two raised ends which runs in a groove along side the mechanism and that has left me flumoxed. Kind regards, Steve.
