I have a couple of Walthams that I would like to know the year that they were made. The first one has a serial number of 7753491,and the other one is 6037952.

Serial number 7753491 is a Model 83, grade P.S. Bartlett, 18size, 17jewel, manufactured in approx 1896.

Serial number 6037952 is a model 88, grade Riverside, 16size, 15jewel, manufactured in approx 1892.

It is not possible to accurately date watches with serial numbers higher than 7555000. Waltham did not keep any records of production dates for those watches. The list of dates that they published in the printed serial number list are not very accurate.

The earlier watch was part of a run that first shipped in September 1893 and shipped the last watch in May 1896. It consisted of 1,000 Riverside grade 1888 models (6037001 - 6038000).
