Mel, I understand you are requesting information (if it exists) for an Elgin Balance Staff cross-reference,

Regarding the staff numbers (X236, X241) you refer to, they differ from My Elgin Cross reference which lists balance staffs for Grades 7 and 15 as #857 and #860, respectively.

The 860 has changes to the waist length (or something) which precludes its use where an 857 is specified.

Hi David
#857 is just used here as an example of what I am looking for.
So to restate my question is there a cross reference for.
I have the Elgin Grade numbers IE 7 and 15, going to the reference in other areas I get a staff X236 and X241. These numbers are unfamiliar to me. I know of numbers Like an Elgin 857 SR (DR) , or a 1903, or a 1903A etc. Does the X236 or X241 cross wth any of these or are they different entirely?
