How to polish a stainless steel caseGo ![]() | New Topic ![]() | Find-Or-Search ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply to Post ![]()
Hi all, I recently got a cyma pocket watch I got it to work but the case was encrusted in something that was really hard to get off. I did eventually get it off but the case is still tarnished, I tryed a few methods but it didn't really work. Would any of you guys know how to effectively polish a ss case? Thanks Francesco

I'd try Tarn X, slightly acidic but shouldn't harm stainless steel, It will "instantly" take the blue off of blued steel! . Follow up with semichrome polish

I have used Hope's brass polish for years on all my watch cases. It has no ammonia or abrasives & will make the old look new.
