I have been fooling around with making a few Home Made tools. At first I tried using broken main spring with a peg wood handle. Not being to terribly impressed I have now started using 1/8 inch steel rod ground down with my Ken Onion tool (knife sharpener). Here is a picture of a couple of levers I completed last night. Any suggestions on improvement would be most welcome. Also pictures of any Home Made tools that I might might want to try and construct. Thanks To all! Kevin Loving Brookings, South Dakota

Look well done to me, for removing hands? One item that can be handy is a tool to hold the lever in place when reassembling full plate movements.

I used them Gary today to help a hairspring Colet along and off the staff. I find no end to the things I can use something (in the past a screwdriver) to help remove. Kevin Loving Brookings, South Dakota
