I don't think I have ever seen a Gold Hairspring before, was this ever a common thing on these watches?

I have seen a few of the gold H/S's on Father Time and BWR grades. I have a Model 8 F/T with the same gold hairspring and they are still magnetic. I dont know for why they are there. Confused
