I've been offered a Ferguson dial-Elgin 16S-and can't find one pic' or much info at all. What I really need is confirmation that such a dial was made-I've only seen 18s. I know what the backs look like and etc.-but there are so many fakes I have to ask- Thanks,Everyone!

I got this Elgin about a year ago and it was totally fake! The watch was OK and that's what I was bidding. This "dial" was cardboard on Aluminum, glued to the watch face.

That loooks really legit, but for that kind of money, I would have to have a heart to heart with my maker, and I fear what I would hear after the laughter stopped.

Marty,
These fergie dials are getting hard to find in decent condition. You have to make the call--hope you make the right call. Smile

Marty,
No riddle--I just think fergie dials in good shape will always be in demand.

And I have a real weakness to own one...I see what those 18s' are going for...whew! That's not quite info enough to estimate a 16S,though...

Marty,
If you are a collector then I believe you should have at least one fergie dial in your collection.

The question is how many have you seen and how many years are you willing to wait for a better one.

I have paid $250 to $300 for 12 size Fergusons and I have seen others even higher.

The price seems to be at the higher end of fair.

Cooksey puts an Elgin Fergy at $700.00 - $1,000.00, and this one is in fair shape albeit a little faded,(maybe), so if I was looking that hard for a legit fergy, the $395.00 is probably drop dead correct.
