Marty BellFerguson dial-Elgin 16S
I've been offered a Ferguson dial-Elgin 16S-and can't find one pic' or much info at all. What I really need is confirmation that such a dial was made-I've only seen 18s. I know what the backs look like and etc.-but there are so many fakes I have to ask- Thanks,Everyone!

David AbbeI got this Elgin about a year ago and it was totally fake! The watch was OK and that's what I was bidding. This "dial" was cardboard on Aluminum, glued to the watch face.

David AbbeThat loooks really legit, but for that kind of money, I would have to have a heart to heart with my maker, and I fear what I would hear after the laughter stopped.

Marty BellThanks,Dave-So ya think that's a bit steep,huh?

well...I still could use, say, a retail type price-am I allowed to talk going prices on things-?

Tony DukesMarty,
These fergie dials are getting hard to find in decent condition. You have to make the call--hope you make the right call.

Marty BellMy friend-that sounds like a riddle to me! So far I can't get ANY price on 16S Fergi'S...

Tony DukesMarty,
No riddle--I just think fergie dials in good shape will always be in demand.

Marty BellAnd I have a real weakness to own one...I see what those 18s' are going for...whew! That's not quite info enough to estimate a 16S,though...

Marty BellTony-I agree;and I have seen that demand grow since I've been around-more than anything else,I'd say...OK-thanks. Good enough!

Tony DukesMarty,
If you are a collector then I believe you should have at least one fergie dial in your collection.

Robert SchusselThe question is how many have you seen and how many years are you willing to wait for a better one.
I have paid $250 to $300 for 12 size Fergusons and I have seen others even higher.
The price seems to be at the higher end of fair.

David AbbeCooksey puts an Elgin Fergy at $700.00 - $1,000.00, and this one is in fair shape albeit a little faded,(maybe), so if I was looking that hard for a legit fergy, the $395.00 is probably drop dead correct.

Marty BellYou guys are the best. Period.
