Thought I would post this since it is a recent acquisition to my collection and one that I have looked for for some time. This is the last pocket watch that was - specifically - made for the CP railway in 1956. It is in excellent condition and working perfectly. ![]()

Theodore, the case is a Sturdy nickel silver case, original to the watch. Deacon, if you like I can put you in touch with the person I bought this one from since he has 2 more available. Let me know. A bit more about this acquisition - I purchased the watch from the person who was the chief timekeeper for the CPR and was the person who specked the watch with Zenith on behalf of the CPR in the mid-50's. 1000 were produced and 500 had the 24 hour dial, all were for the Canadian market. He had much to tell about the production of the watch, his specifications for the production and what was going on at the time with the RR around the manufacturing of this pocket watch. This is one of the watches that I will prize in my collection for the 'source' info that I now have about it.

Tom: F.W. Day would have been long retired, he was succeeded by F.J. Pickersgill in the 1960s, I'm guessing the watch came from Peter Kushner who was CPR's last chief inspector of time service before it ended in the 1980s. Larry
