Hi all just pick this one up today
wrong case but looks clean with nice hands and dial
17jewels.S/N 972101

Hi Peter, Your watch is a Railroad Grade watch and if you look on page 23 Illustration 7 of the Hampden book you will see a very similar watch. It has correct hands and should have a Dueber anchor dial but that is minor. Nice Anchor grade watch and worth a little TLC. I have several Dueber "Railway" marked cases, which were made in hunter and open face, and if you can find one your watch would be perfect in that case. A very attractive and nice example.

Peter I should add that your dial is correct for the period and may have been original to the watch as you could have what you wanted, however the Dueber anchor dial is what is usually seen. Those are harder to find.

I like the dial that is on the watch
and since is correct to period I will keep it
the way it is just look for hc (wish me luck)

Peter, those are rare and valuable Crescent or 1/2 moon hands. Be "VERY careful when you deal with them.
