G'Day,
I'm trying to find some information on the HAMPDEN Canadian Pacific pocket watches. I've looked online but the information available is meager to say the least. I note that the "Complete Price Guide" lists 3 of the Hampden watches with the Canadian Pacific inscription on the movement.

Thanks for your time and attention...….Joe.

Thanks for taking time to respond Larry. Much appreciated.
The photo of your watch is a bonus.
The last line of your first paragraph is causing me some confusion.
You indicate the watch was made in 1883 but then state the date coincides with the 7 Nov 1885 last spike date. I'm not sure I understand your point if the dates are two years apart. Is the case dated ?
Do you have any information as to how/why these watches were created with the Canada Pacific dial and movement engraving ?

Do you know if these were accepted into CPR use or merely commemorative ?
Once again, thanks for your response...……..Joe

Hello Joe:

I'm having trouble with my computer photos, I'm going to straighten this out, and paste the other images tomorrow. Yes I was little out from the date the Pocket Watch was manufactured, and the date of the CPR had their last spike ceremony.

Nice watches Larry ,I would speculate that these are pretty scarce . I cant recall seeing any production numbers ,Hampden info was all lost , but there are efforts to grade them at least.
