Hamilton 992 staff part number needed "Click" to Login or Register

im having problems to get this staff to match up i cant remember the part num ,something like hh88821 20 anyway the package says 992b 992 e am i missing something i just cant seem to get it to work

Robert, the balance staffs for the 992, 992E and 992B are not interchangeable. The 992 is a riveted staff while the E and B are friction fit but with different dimensions. I have attached a portion of Hamilton's list of their balance staff part numbers. Also you can check John Duvall's list of American Pocket Watch Balance Staffs on this site which shows dimensions. Note that there is an error in that list where the Hamilton Factory # 659 balance should be listed as for 950B and 992B and not 950E and 992E.
