Waltham Colonial 1924 model, 17J, made in 1935 "Click" to Login or Register

I acquired this in the early 1960's from my grandfather, and wore it until 1 June 1970 when it was replaced by a post-production Hamilton 992B.
What, if anything, can you tell me about it?
It's marked "Colonial", "Waltham U.S.A.", "17 jewels", "Adj. for Temp". Serial number dates it to 1935 (first year of production?). I'm especially interested in the dial - I can't find anything similar. First the back (front view in the next post)
