Hi all,
Here the latest restoration project that I recently undertook.
It is a series 2 Howard 17 jewel bridge model.
When I purchased it it arrived with a broken staff, missing barrel bush and after stripping it down a broken 4th wheel pinion.
I got a parts movement of ebay and I had a donor 4th wheel from of all things a series 3 Howard.
(straight swap)photos to follow.
Cheers
Gary

And here is the cleaned and oiled movement.
One of the prettiest movements I.M.H.O.

I have had this running now for about a week and it has kept fantastic time. This is going to be a keeper.

Nice job Gary!

I have always liked those Howard dials with the minute markers turned that direction. I would make it a keeper too!
