Hamilton 974 dial info "Click" to Login or Register

Hi all,

I have a Hamilton 974 (1678940, 1919) that has a metal dial. Needless to say the dial is the worst part of the watch.

I would like to replace this with an porc dial. Most of the 974's I see have a single sunk dial. Is there a specific type of dial I should be looking out for to bring this watch up to snuff (script, bold, etc)..

Thanks

Bruce Byrd

Bruce,

I have a 974 (sn 1662815) that also has a metal dial. I'm not so sure that they aren't hamilton originals. Maybe some other folks have some more info to share. Were these original to the movements, or later replacemment dials?

Here's mine
