Interesting Elgin Dial 16S Arabic, Red 5 Min outer, sub second, no feet

I understand no feet dials for the doctor watches with a center seconds hand... but don't quite get it for a sub seconds movement.

This one left the manufacturer with no feet as evidenced by the original locations being glazed and fired with the original back.

and the front, regrettably, light hairlines out from center up toward ten and one. They don't show up until I zoom with the right light.

Make it into a BOLA! Seriously, there are some "feet kits" which have these rivet-like thingys you can solder to the dial. Takes some effort and may damage the dial more. If you do a Bola, put on a "smile" and you will help make someone's day.

Dang... I was hoping there was some obscure snap fit dialed Elgin out there. I've worked on the snap fit Howards...

A bola might work... a bit too big for ear rings.
