Great looking watch Jim!

I don't recall seeing the dial and I've definitely not the seen damaskeening before. That sun-ray pattern would be very unusual for Hamilton. Closest thing would be a few of the Ball-Hamiltons, but this is different, they are wavy. I make out "17-Jewels" is that based on a 936 or what? Let us in on the movement number.

Only 18s "Special" I have is a "940 Special Two-Tone" and 473008 is the number on that one.

Thanks for sharing it Jim, that's a real beauty!

Hi Lindell,
Hamilton Watch No. 502301 is an 18 size Model 926, gilt trim. 17 jewels, open face lever set. It was finished 11/13/1906 and sold 11/16/1906, to Luckenbach & Co. Los Angeles CA. It was one of several hundred sold to Luckenback at that time but only a few with the Special Damascene pattern and Special dial.

I just keep coming back and looking at that pattern!

Shades are essential!

I have an 18 size private label 926 for a jeweler in Escanaba, Mich. It too has all the gold screws and regulator etc. The damascening pattern in not like the two shown above. It seems that Hamilton would finish private label 18 size watches with the gold parts.
