He was probably a jeweler in Evansville Indiana. This is from the 1877 City Directory for that town. His son also had the same name & worked in the store. If I find anything more interesting I will post it. ![]() | |||

Jason, I must add the watch is a 17 Jewel Illinois "Getty" design movement. One of my favorite movements. Is the dial also signed Chas. F Artes? | |||
