Wow - 1852! John Brown's "attack" on Harper's Ferry was still seven years in the future.

As 1852 was his date of birth, I suspect that he was later involved in the civil war or reconstruction. His picture shows a person who seems to be in his late teens or early twenties putting that whole item at about the 1870's
