Finally found a 971 (Dial Question) "Click" to Login or Register

This is a presentable 971 that needs cleaning but seems to run well. This single sunk dial is certainly "period correct" but I feel this should have a double sunk dial. Are there any data to support a DSD is more appropriate than a SSD? I do have a "Hamilton Watch Co." DSD in fairly good condition. What d'ya say?
