I avoid that stupid term "minty".

But once in a while you find a watch that looks almost untouched.

It houses a Model 99 pendant-set Waltham.

It's a perfectly ordinary 7-jewel movement, but when they're in this condition you can't pass them up.

Wanna guess what I paid for it?

As usual, top notch. It would be easier to guess a price if you could show a "before" picture.

I'm more curious what you would sell it for ..

When selling I always figure to lead off with the money shot - the one that grabs equal parts eyeballs and attention.

I paid less than $150 for the watch, and this was the seller's lead-off picture:

I think at times it shows what value these watches had to their owners. Some that I have are marked parents to child or one I have has a bit of a family history engraved on it. On these it looks like the owner relished the watch so much that it was only a Sunday church wear or on special occasions. It is a treat to find watches like this and sometimes if they are low jewel count people will let them slide by.
