Illinois Model 186 dial info "Click" to Login or Register

I have a Illinois model 186. The watch currently has a metal dial. Running the serial number, this watch should have a double sunk glass enamel dial. The watch was made in 1912. Can someone show me what the proper dial on this watch would look like? Similar to a Bunn? Thanks for any info

Bruce -

Is it an open-face or a hunting-case movement? Also how high is the serial number?

I think this grade is seen with a few different dials, but I think generally it should have a double-sunk dial with "Illinois Watch Co." signature and less bold numerals than you might expect to see on a later model 4 or 5 Sangamo.

Hi Fred,

The serial number is 2464597 and is an open face movement.

Bruce - you can see one example of a 186 dial on a private-label example in THIS THREAD
