Illinois 16-size grade 186 "Click" to Login or Register

This is another 16-size watch I have. The 17j grade 186 is adjusted to 4 positions and has rounded spokes on the gilded train wheels. Add to that the gilt screws and regulator, deeply polished single winding wheel and elegant double-sunk dial and you have another nice 3-finger bridge movement (compare to the Elgin 243 in my other post). This unmarked movement has the name "Hufnagel" on the dial. Edward H. Hufnagel was associated with the National Retail Jewelers Association in the 20s. I am not sure where he was when this watch was made, ca.1900.

How in the world did they mass-produce round spokes?
