Tom,
I have two names I would like to get some info on when you get the opportunity. I googled both, and as always I come up empty!

Wm Kennedy, Albany, NY. He was an agent for Hamilton watches.

Tappins,(no first name or initial) Troy, NY

Thanks
Ed

Edward

Do you have a time frame you think they might have been around in.

So far for William Kennedy there was a jeweler in Albany NY by that name, I found him in the city directory from the 1880's up into the turn of the century.

This is from the 1895 city directory.

Also on Tappin do you know his profession? In the 1930 census in Green Island Albany NY there was a Thomas Tappin & family, he was listed as a Railroad Engineer.

Tom, thank you for being so expedient.

The Tappins watch is a 3 finger getty, #1419738 which appears to have been made about 1900.

The Kennedy watch is a Hamilton 974, #72509, with a date of 1897. The inscription on the case is for 1925, so it is a re-case.
