Not too long ago I posted that I had completed the 97X series of Hamiltons. We all know there are many variables within each grade number and I certainly don't have them all.

Our Larry Lamphier sent me a 974 Special movement in the event I could use it. It needed an hour wheel, and an intermediate wheel as well as dial screws. I found these parts, added a dial, and case, Samie added the hands and a jewel for the 3rd wheel and here she is.

Nice job Mike. So you could sell to me for $1.00 and make 100% profit.

The purpose in this post was to show what a great group of collectos linger about here. Larry provided an act of kindness as well as generosity. He is one of the "good guys" but there are lots of good guys here. Where else can you spend $1/month so well?

$1.00 + parts + labor = at least $215 to $325. At least that is the asking price for BINs on eBay right now.

This one is probably worth more to Mike after all the effort he put into it.

Nice save!
