G#270 Top plate train side- The finishing is nickel with spotting type finish on almost all surfaces. Note: Although the spotting is impressive it seems that the combo, spotting and snailing of the G#280/BWR is more dramatic visually.

G#270 Top plate dial side- Excellent detail here with spotting covering the entire surface, also the setting components are Highly polished. Note: Much better than the G#280/BWR grade.

Here is the assembled 21 Jewel Grade #270- This movement is in pretty nice overall condition.

In summary, this is a High Grade 21 jewel Elgin movement, featuring many of the higher quality finishing details offered by Elgin. This movement seems to be finished to a higher degree than the G#280/BWR.

On the other hand, this G#270 is only a SINGLE roller escape design. I believe the 17 Jewel G#280/BWR would be a better overall operational watch due to it's better escapement design.
