Hello Group, I'm very excited about my find of the week. My first Dudley! This Model 1 is in 14k with a display back. Watch is in fantastic condition as seen here. I always wondered if I would ever find a Dudley, now I can cross that one of my list. Unfortunately, with what I paid for this watch, it will not be a keeper. Look for it on my eBay auctions. It's been a fun, long hunt to find it. FINE & SCARCE 14K DUDLEY MODEL 1 MASONIC POCKET WATCH Now on to the next one I've been hunting for, a Charles Fasoldt. Living in the Albany area, my hopes are high.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I was fortunate enough to run across two Dudley Model 2's last month at an auction. Thinking I may get a good deal on them I awaited...... First one was in a display case #3646 and went for $3550. Second one was in a GF case #2322 and went for $3750. Neither were minty and at best would have been excellent and neither had undergone a COA in decades. As an interesting point, both watches were bought by the gentleman in front of me who I noticed was wearing a 32nd ring. So I feel they went to a good home but way too rich for me ![]() I believe 5900 were made total out of the 3 different models so they are quite the item and not enough to go around for the masonic organization let alone the watch collector crowd. Probably a very good watch for investment purposes. regards, bb

Beautiful design, were they specially made for the Masonic Lodge????

When I lived in Michigan my neighbor was a big watch collector and had 2 Dudleys and two Gruen 50th version along with many more that were too rich for my blood. They are beautiful watches to see in person, I wish I had kept in contact with him but I moved from Michigan in 1999, the guy did have a kick butt collection of pocket watches of all types, Swiss or American.

Phillip, nothing would please me more to know it ended up with you, one of the good guys. Good luck! ![]()

Omigosh! I dunno if its the movement, or the pictures, or both! but that is one beautiful looking movement, Jim! A person can't quite get the same feeling from 'The Complete Book'. ![]()

You're right Mike, it is one beautiful movement. FYI: The auction ends in 10 1/2 hours (9:00 pm EST) & is at $5,800 with 100 watchers. You can click my link to view this auction. Best, Jim

Congratulations Jim, first on your find, secondly on your great auction....To bad it was not a keeper for you... Maybe next time.... Regards, Jerry

Thanks guys! It was a fun auction & lots of action, 39 bids; 700 page views & 111 watchers! I was wondering myself if it was a record price for a Dudley. Since that auction, I have been contacted by a gentleman from Illinois that wants to sell his Model #1, Model #2 & Model #3. We are working out the details. I'll let you all know how I make out. Best, Jim
