can anyone help me identify the manufacturer OR gold content defined by the attached Hunter case mark? generally a left facing head profile. Case has etched dog (front) and bird (back). ![]() | |||

This mark indicates a Ladd "patent stiffened gold" case (gold-filled) manufactured by J.A. Brown & Co. You should be able to find the patent date (June 11, 1867) marked under the bezel. https://pocketwatchdatabase.co....a.-brown-co/history Hope this helps. | ||||
