Thanks. I don't know what I did before I joined IHC. I looked for him under watch inspectors but no results.

I just got home from a trip & I will look for more Tuesday. Looks like it might be Bernhard (Ben) Olai Anderson born March 23, 1878 in Caledonia Mn. He studied watchmaking & engraving at Winona & went into business in 1898 in Kindred ND.

Bernhard Ben Olai Anderson
born March 23, 1878 in Caledonia MN
died May 21 1935 in Kindred ND
Married June 24, 1903 Berthe Marie Kios
Had 4 children

His parents were Augustinus Bruun Brown Anderson 1851-1935, Caroline Hemri 1853-1924

Yes he had a jewelery store in Kindred but I haven't been able to locate that it still is in business.

Here is an article about Kindred ND from the May 1906 issue of "North Dakota Magazine", it mentions the town having a jewelery store & a new building. I would guess that is Mr. Anderson, apparently there was a fire in 1900 in Kindred that destroyed several businesses including the original Anderson store.
