South Bend Grade 419 "Click" to Login or Register
posted
Recently I obtained a couple of South Bends, a grade 419 and a grade 217. The 419 had the South Bend presentation case. Thought I would share the 419 with the group.

It looks like you have an a relatively rare 12 size size South Bend. They are all marked as 17j adjusted to 3 positions--estimated production is 1,500. Only the grade 417 seems to be scarcer.

You watch has the correct dial and was made while South Bend was producing higher quality watches --ie those with a serial number below 1M.
